Weekly News 13 July 2017

I trust you have all got used to the single Saturday swim session as that continues through the rest of July/August - 7.30am only with no Core to follow but still the chance to go for a run or just drink coffee, your choice?
Here’s Fran’s report on the recent EGTC cycle training ride;

Last Sunday mornings bike session consisted of some TTing round Bones Lane on a warm Sunday morning that got even warmer as the riders progressed through practicing riding on each other's tails to a full out one circuit final effort in their pairs. Bragging rights go to Tim Coogan and Keith Roberts who wiped 30 seconds off their initial circuit time to come in at 7.13 but pushed all the way to the line by Dave P and Garry. Sisterly rivalry by Jane and Sally and an excellent performance by Karen and Dave saw all improving their times over the hours session.

This Sunday's bike ride is being led by Karen and Tim and will be a nice gentle ride for a couple of hours with the obligatory cake stop half way through. Meet at Kings at 8.30 Sunday morning.
A reminder of Pete Holley’s little farewell party at the Old House at Home in Dormansland from 8pm onwards on Saturday 29th July - I’m sure Pete would appreciate if you could let him know if you are going along to wish him G’Day as he goes off to Oz?

Finally don’t forget to let me know if you are out there racing or doing anything else bizarre and stupid that you’d like your fellow members to know about? I’ll start by letting you know that Jackie and I are planning to complete the Sussex Ouse Valley walk on Fri 11th august - 42 miles from its source at Lower Beeding to the coast at Seaford. If you want to join for all or part then let me know?
