Weekly News 25 February 2016

Quick news this week as I have far more important things to do than sit here thinking of things to tell you lot!

Thanks to all of you who took part in the WGP Swim/Run last Saturday and especially to those who helped with counting lengths and to Mr Chairman for his excellent bollarding! Well done to Emily who overturned a minute deficit on the swim too Tim Coogan to cruise to the overall victory. Congratulations also to the brilliant Tom Lees who managed to hold off the very fast run of Andrew Drake. The CSP went to Mick Norrington who gained revenge on Clare for his defeat at the Vale Gallop by having an absolute ding-dong battle in the pool before pulling away on the run.

Next up is the WGP Duathlon on Sunday 6th March. First run is around 3km followed by a lap of the Try-a-Tri cycle route and finally one lap of the tri course. I will need a helper who can operate a stopwatch and a clipboard – or can help Rich with both – as we need to take account of the new traffic lights in Moat Road!

Don't forget the 2nd Sunday Ride on 13th March – Burgess Hill Sportive- and the EG Aquathon on the 20th March, let Pete know if you can help?

Finally remember to have the w/end of 7/8 May in your diary to help out at the EG Tri!
