Weekly News 20 September 2012

Hi All

All in together this Saturday for 90 minutes of splashing about! Make the most of it as the countdown to October's SwimFest starts here!

But first, well done to Mike Cowell who recently competed in his first event since his "near miss" earlier in the year! An easy 5km swim, with wetsuit(!) in 1:35:24 - most pleasing is that he's still in one piece!

He's also reporting a lot of traffic on the website as you all look to see which swim type you are, or have been allocated too! If it's not clear then ask Martin or one of the other coaches - although I'm sure I already knew Daisy was a swinger, Kelly's fella is Mr Smooth and the girls in lane 6 are a bunch of babes (but not you Simon, although......). The OktoberFest session on 6th October will have a fuller explanation of what it's all about - be there!

And on OktoberFest, I've got most of it sorted but still have a couple of Wednesday evening sessions to fill so, if you have any suggestions (including people to run them) then get in touch - possibilities suggested so far include a "Night Run", indoor climbing or a Boot Camp - but I'm sure there are others that would be more popular?

That's it for now
